Avant Garde Fencers Club is located in a state-of-the art facility, featuring a high tech sports floor, with performance and safety in mind. Whether on the fencing floor, in the locker room or in the reception area, both, fencers and their companies enjoy a very comfortable environment in our club. AGFC fencers benefit from classes, private lessons, open fencing, in house tournaments, a fencing boutique, as well as free internet access in our facility. Members range from young children to late bloomers, and they profit from programs meant for fitness, recreational or competitive training.

AGFC coaches are highly experienced professionals, who share their expertise with students of all ages and skill levels. Our coaches take special interest in their students, discussing each individual’s goal and trying to tailor the fencer’s needs accordingly. Whether just learning the sport, benefiting from a cardio work out, enjoying the recreational side of fencing, paving the way to college or shooting for Olympic goals, Avant Garde Fencers Club has the right coaches. At AGFC, students get the opportunity to work with outstanding coaches – coach Grigore is a two-time Olympian (Barcelona 1992 and Atlanta 1996) and coach Costin has worked over two decades with the Romanian national team, as well as the U.S. national team. His most representative student, Jason Rogers, won a silver medal for the U.S. at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
